The SPEC Tower responds to the need for a socially conscious housing model which caters to the diverse social and economic backgrounds of New York City’s residents. Living units ranging from large, horizontally oriented spaces to compact, vertical micro-units accommodate a multitude of different lifestyles.

The collective spaces provided in the core of the building create a vertical High Line and uphold the idea that outdoor space and views are shared rights for all city residents, regardless of their economic status. Visual connections between the public and private spaces echo the idea of community.
